International
Cantor Colburn’s International Group represents the U.S. intellectual property interests of companies, government research institutes, and universities located in Canada, Central and South America, Europe, India, China, Australia, and elsewhere across the globe. We recognize the value and importance of our clients’ U.S. intellectual property assets, and we work closely with them to provide cost effective results.
Cantor Colburn also does extensive work with clients and foreign associates specifically in Korea and Japan. The firm has created dedicated practice groups to handle IP in those countries and we provide more detail of the practices in their respective languages—Korean and Japanese.
Strategic and Convenient Location
Based in our Washington D.C. office, the International Group is ideally positioned to conduct interviews, oral hearings, and other business at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, and to access the U.S. Federal District Courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Located just minutes from Reagan National Airport and a short drive from Dulles International Airport, the International Group’s team of intellectual property attorneys is readily available to receive and meet with clients from abroad.
Competent and Cost Effective Service
Cantor Colburn’s International Group includes experienced patent prosecution and litigation specialists in a wide variety of technical areas, along with experts in trademark, copyright, and licensing matters. We have fluent Korean, Chinese, Russian, Japanese, French, Hebrew, Hindi, Kannada, and Marathi speakers among our professionals in order to facilitate communication with clients abroad. Our members are active in U.S., regional, and international industry associations and regularly travel for speaking engagements and for meetings with our international clients in their offices abroad. By maintaining open lines of communication with all of our clients, we are able to deliver timely, responsive, and strategic advice and guidance tailored to the specific needs of our international clients.
