The Connecticut and Massachusetts Invention Convention CT State Finals 2025 take place Saturday, May 3, 2025 at UConn's Storrs campus. Eric Baron, patent attorney and chair of Cantor Colburn's Artificial Intelligence Practice, is the former chair of Invention Convention's board of directors, and will present the Cantor Colburn award for the Most Patentable Invention to a student inventor at the ceremony after the judging.

Cantor Colburn is proud to sponsor the Raytheon Technologies Invention Convention U.S. Nationals at the Henry Ford campus on June 4-6, 2025. Partner Karl Barr has been involved with the invention competition for years—judging for the firm’s Most Patentable Award, mentoring young inventors, and providing trainings to the Invention Convention organization. This year, he will once again attend the event in person. The eighth annual event takes place inside the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation where more than 300 students from across the country display their inventions alongside the greatest innovations in American history.
