Michelle Ciotola and Alison Caless, attorneys in Cantor Colburn's Trademark & Copyright Practice Group, will attend the 2026 MARQUES Annual Conference, September 22-25, 2026, in Lisbon, Portugal. This year's conference theme, The Exciting Evolution of Trademarks, explores how trademarks and other intellectual property assets are evolving as businesses find new ways to build trust and engage with consumers.

The conference will feature plenary sessions on topics including the fine line between fame and genericism, innovative strategies for unlocking IP value, the role of regulation, geographical indications and international trade, and the Digital Product Passport. Interactive workshops will address anticounterfeiting, unconventional trademarks, artificial intelligence, domain name arbitration, and developments in EU design law.
