Cantor Colburn is proud to sponsor The 4th Annual Forum on Healthcare Innovation presented by The Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine on October 25-26. 2017, at the Jackson Laboratory's Farmington, Connecticut headquarters. The Forum will focus on emerging science and technology that will change the future of healthcare, and innovations in healthcare.

Partners from Cantor Colburn's Chemical, Materials, and Life Sciences Department will attend the two-day forum.  Leah Reimer co-chairs the department and has been a patent attorneys for more than 20 years. She was recently named one of the Top 250 Women in IP by IP Stars. She has been an adjunct professor of law at UConn's School of Law, her alma mater, since 2001.  She has a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Stanford University.

Anne Maxwell's Ph.D. is in Biophysical Chemistry from Yale University, and she is also an alumna of UConn's School of Law. She has almost 20 years' experience in IP law.  In addition to patent preparation, prosecution, and preparing opinions, Anne co-chairs the firm's Pharmaceutical Practice Group and supports Cantor Colburn’s Litigation Department in Abbreviated New Drug Application litigation.

Todd Garabedian's Ph.D. is in Biochemistry, from the Washington State University. He has been a patent attorney for almost 25 years, working in a wide variety of disciplines, including chemistry, biochemistry, organic chemistry, pharmaceuticals, molecular biology, and materials science. Todd began his professional career as a research biochemist at the UCLA School of Medicine and thereafter at Washington State University where he worked in a variety of biological fields mainly centered around protein structure, function, and characterization.
