AUTM 2026 Annual Meeting

February 8, 2026

AUTM’s Annual Meeting is the largest global gathering of technology transfer professionals, bringing together leaders from universities, research institutions, and industry to advance innovation and commercialization. The conference features more than 80 educational sessions led by world‑class speakers and focuses on academic technology transfer, IP strategy, and federally funded research. The 2026 Annual Meeting will be held February 8–11, 2026, in Seattle. Cantor Colburn partner Michael Brodowski, Ph.D., will attend.

Michael H. Brodowski is a partner at Cantor Colburn and a member of the Chemical and Material Sciences, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, and Post Grant practice groups. He has extensive experience advising universities, academic research institutions, and their commercial partners on intellectual property strategy, particularly for inventions arising from federally funded research.

Michael regularly counsels clients on the Bayh‑Dole Act, including ownership, disclosure, election of title, government rights, and related compliance issues. His practice includes developing and managing U.S. and international patent portfolios, advising on patent life cycle management and exclusivities, and supporting university‑industry collaborations and technology transfer initiatives. He also conducts patent landscape analyses, performs IP due diligence for licensing and transactional matters, handles post‑grant proceedings, and prepares patent opinions and technology‑related agreements across a broad range of scientific and engineering disciplines.
