James Merrick씨는 한국 고객과 법무법인을 위해서 성실하게 일하는 변호인과 변리사 그리고 지원팀으로 구성된 한국 실무 그룹을 지휘하고 있습니다.  이들은 모두 각자의 영역에서 전문성을 가지고 있으며, 몇 몇 팀 구성원들은 한국어를 모국어로 사용합니다.  Merrick씨는 고객의 상품 출시 일정을 맞추기 위해 특허 보호를 확보하고 팀의 최종 작업 제품의 운영관리에 관한  책임을 맡고 있습니다.  Merrick씨는 한국 회사와 법무법인에 지적 재산 (IP) 소송, 침해, 계약서와 라이센스 관련 상담을 제공하기 위해 한국을 자주 방문합니다. 

또한 Merrick씨는 국내 에너지 관련 의뢰인과 대학에 법적 조언을 제공하고 있으며, 주로 기계 공학과 전자 공학 부문에서 특허를 준비하거나  심사합니다.

    USPTO Design Day took place on Tuesday, April 25 at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in Alexandria, Virginia. Cantor Colburn is one of the largest filers of design patents in the country and our attorneys attend Design Day every year.
