Ali Hayter 40 Under Forty 2021

Cantor Colburn partner Ali Hayter was named one of the Hartford Business Journal’s 2021 40 Under Forty.

Ms. Hayter has over 10 years of service with the firm, with a concentration in intellectual property. She has been involved in advising clients in all aspects of patent law, including utility and design patent application preparation, prosecution, counseling, and portfolio management. She concentrates her practice in a wide variety of mechanical technologies, serving both foreign and domestic clients. Within the mechanical arts, Ms. Hayter’s practice has involved substantial work with aerospace and aeronautics, elevators, heating and cooling systems, and latch and lock technology. Prior to joining Cantor Colburn LLP, Ali worked as both a mechanical engineer and a patent engineer at Otis Elevator, where she helped develop and protect new technology while attending law school.  Ms. Hayter earned her law degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law and her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Villanova University.

For 25 years, Hartford Business Journal's 40 Under Forty has recognized annually 40 outstanding young professionals in the Greater Hartford area who excel in their industries through their leadership roles. This year’s recipients were chosen from more than 160 nominations and come from the private, public, and nonprofit sectors. The winners will be honored at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field in East Hartford on September 16, 2021.
