Leo has deep expertise in drafting and prosecuting utility and design patent applications on behalf of foreign and domestic clients in the areas of mechanical and biomedical arts, polymer chemistry, chemical processing and synthesis, and materials science. He is an experienced lecturer and presenter on the U.S. patent practice and intellectual property law in foreign jurisdictions. He is fluent in Russian and has extensive and ongoing experience traveling to Russia and Ukraine to meet with and cultivate clients. During these travels, he has given presentations to the Ukrainian Intellectual Property Institute, the Ukraine Minister of Justice, and extensively in Akademgorodok, Novosibirsk, Russia.
Leo represents technology companies in connection with structuring and negotiating a wide array of complex commercial transactions and agreements, including vendor customer agreements, VAR/OEM/distributor agreements, master services agreements, software as a service agreements, subcontract agreements, alliance partner agreements, offshore IT and development outsourcing agreements, and data access. Leo also represents companies in the domain name dispute resolution proceedings (UDRPs) on both complainant and respondent sides.
