David Arnold has 20 years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution, non-infringement and invalidity opinions, counseling on global patent filing strategies, patent landscaping, and management of client intellectual property portfolios. With dual engineering degrees, BSEE and MSME, David's practice encompasses both electrical and mechanical arts that provide an ideal background for working directly with inventors in both disciplines, involving technologies that include, power generation systems, electromechanical and electromagnetic devices, CT and MRI systems, medical devices, mining technology, automotive systems and controls, LED devices, fasteners, packaging, and millimeter-wave antenna apparatus suitable for 5G and phased arrays. David also has extensive experience working with various foreign law firms during the filing and prosecution phases of international, regional, and national patent filings. Prior to joining Cantor Colburn, David spent 21 years with General Electric, first as an engineer, later as a senior project engineer, and lastly as Patent Counsel in GE’s Industrial Solutions division.
