IPOwners Spring Summit 2020
Tina Dorr, Ph.D., Esq., Counsel and member of the IPO U.S. Patent Office Practice Committee and IPO Women in IP Law Committee, and Andrew Levitt, Associate and member of the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Issues, Patent Search, and Diversity & Inclusion Committees, will attend the IP Owners Spring Summit in Washington, D.C., on March 4-5, 2020.
Tina represents clients in a large range of technology areas, including mechanical, chemical, material, life science, and semiconductor technologies. Tina drafts and prosecutes U.S. utility, design, and plant patent applications, as well as manages and directs prosecution of foreign patent portfolios. Tina performs searches, provides invalidity, infringement/non-infringement, patentability, and freedom to operate opinions, and counsels clients to develop effective patent protection worldwide. Tina also provides technical support and opinions to Cantor Colburn’s Litigation Department in Abbreviated New Drug Application litigation. Prior to joining Cantor Colburn, Tina completed her doctoral thesis on enzyme catalysis, membrane protein structure, and redox chemistry. Tina is also active in the IP community, holding roles as Secretary of the Women in IP committee of the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO), Chair of the Outreach committee of the Atlanta chapter of Chiefs in Intellectual Property (ChIPs), and incoming Chair of the Women's Leadership Network of the Georgia Asian Pacific American Bar Association (GAPABA). Tina is also a guest lecturer in IP law at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Andrew’s practice includes patent prosecution, invalidity and non-infringement opinions, prior art, clearance, freedom-to-operate searches as well as patent landscape studies, with a focus on biological sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, biochemistry, and biomedical instruments and methods. In addition to his patent practice, Andrew also handles trademark prosecution and clearance matters, as well as intellectual property transactions and licensing.
