Welcome to Associates Maggie Russell and Audrey Trace

Cantor Colburn welcomes Associates Maggie Russell and Audrey Trace to Cantor Colburn. Both attorneys graduated from law school in May 2021 and were admitted to the Connecticut Bar in November 2021. They work in the Firm's Hartford headquarters office. 

Maggie Russell focuses her practice on drafting and prosecuting patent applications for chemical and material science technologies. Maggie has experience in a wide range of fields including chemistry, chemical engineering, semiconductor devices, mechanical engineering, and material science. Prior to joining Cantor Colburn, she worked as a semiconductor engineer at BAE systems and authored multiple publications in the Journal of the Electrochemical Society. She has a BS in chemistry from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a JD from Suffolk University School of Law. She was admitted to practice before the Patent Bar earlier this year. 

Audrey Trace is a trademark and copyright attorney. She concentrates her practice on counseling, protecting, and enforcing trademark, trade dress, copyright, and related intellectual property rights. Audrey assists clients with trademark clearance, monitoring, and enforcement. She assists clients in both U.S. and foreign portfolio management. Audrey also has experience in copyright matters and domain name disputes, including arbitrations under the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy.  She has a degree from the University of Florida in Political Science & History, cum laude, and a J.D. from the University of New Hampshire School of Law (formerly known as the Franklin Pierce Law Center) with a concentration in Intellectual Property.
