Cantor Colburn is ranked #3 for design patents and #8 for trademark registrations among all U.S. law firms in 2017, according to the well-respected IP blog Ant-like Persistence (2017 US Toteboards, March 11, 2018). The ranking measures the number of design patents that were issued and the number of trademark registrations that were issued by the USPTO in 2017.

Cantor Colburn is one of the largest full-service IP law firms in the country, with substantial experience, ability, and capacity in patents, trademarks, litigation, and transactions.  There is a Design Patent Practice Group, co-chaired by partners Dan Drexler and Dan Gibson, that sees growth year after year. And there is a Trademark & Copyright Department, led by Curt Krechevsky, Chair, and Michelle Ciotola, Vice Chair, that also continues to climb in rankings and client activity. Cantor Colburn is the 4th largest U.S. patent law firm (IP Watchdog).
