Richard Kosakowski represents and counsels clients in various intellectual property (IP) matters, primarily in the nature of patents. This includes the areas of obtaining, exploiting, and protecting clients’ patent rights. Rick has had substantial IP legal experience both in private practice and in corporate practice. Rick has been Chief IP Counsel at both the Pratt & Whitney and Hamilton Sundstrand business units of United Technologies Corporation (UTC), and he also was an attorney at the UTC Corporate IP Legal Department. Rick has also worked at two different IP boutique law firms, including one in which he was a founding partner. Before entering the practice of law, Rick was a technician and an engineer at various business units of UTC and at an optical components company.
