Jason C. Cameron

While working as an engineer, Jason was interested in patent law after working on a program that experienced the loss of intellectual property to outside sources. Jason was motivated by this interest to attend law school on weekends while working full time. Now an attorney, Jason concentrates his practice on patent preparation and prosecution in high-technology fields, including electrical and mechanical engineering, oil and gas technologies, and aerospace technologies. He has more than 25 years’ experience working in industry in engineering and technology fields, including design engineering, systems engineering, field operations, and engineering management. Jason was an engineering manager at General Electric and Northrop Grumman, performing both legal and technical support to national defense and White House communications projects. He also was the lead engineer for a research and development missile program at Lockheed Martin, where he led a team of twelve technical experts, including five Ph.D.s. While there, Jason wrote his master’s thesis on the subject of GPS-only guidance for vehicles. He has significant experience in UAV communications and systems design while at Raytheon, including satellite communications, network integration, and ground station design. He began his career in the U.S. Marine Corps where he was a satellite terminal technician supporting both the 2nd and 3rd Marine Divisions domestically and overseas. He specializes in deciphering difficult technical issues and communicating with virtually all inventors because he has “been there.” He serves clients by being proactive and by defending intellectual property rights aggressively.
