Ed Anderson represents and counsels clients in all aspects of intellectual property law. His practice currently focuses on patent procurement, complex intellectual property transactions, intellectual property counseling, and management strategies. Ed's patent preparation and prosecution is in the material science and metallurgical arts, with particular experience in aircraft engine and industrial turbine materials; high temperature superalloys and processes; super-conductors; nuclear reactor materials; investment casting; electronic materials; thin and thick film materials and processes; and engineering plastics, silicones, materials, and processes used in oilfield drilling, completion, and production. He also has significant experience in the chemical, electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical arts, including a broad spectrum of automotive technologies, such as ignition products, friction materials, brake systems, exhaust treatment systems, fuel systems and components, steering systems and components, and vehicle engineering. Ed formerly practiced as in-house counsel for multi-billion dollar business units of Honeywell, General Electric, and Delphi. He has broad experience in intellectual property transactions, counseling, and management strategies, which include M&A related activities and associated due diligence; drafting and negotiation of a wide variety of licensing; technology development/sharing and related agreements; infringement analysis; and design-around activities.
